In attesa dell'uscita prevista per settembre 2011 della saga di Star Wars in versione blu-ray, Volkswagen ha lanciato sul mercato americano uno spot emozionale che sta spopolando sul web. Una parodia virale di soli 30 secondi indovinata e divertente tanto da meritarsi un link sull'account ufficiale @StarWars su Twitter.
Lo spot Volkswagen Passat Star Wars con protagonista un piccolo Darth Vader che cerca di far valere (invano fino all'arrivo di papà a bordo della nuova Passat) i suoi poteri del lato oscuro della Forza da Sith andrà in onda in anteprima durante il SuperBowl in programma domenica prossima a Dallas tra Pittsburgh Steelers e Green Bay Packers.
"Abbiamo collaborato con Lucasfilm per la pubblicità della nuova Passat, sfruttando il patrimonio emotivo di Star Wars e Volkswagen per creare un momento memorabile" ha dichiarato Tim Ellis, Vice Presidente Marketing di Volkswagen of America.
